Dana Holtz

Dana Holtz, EdS, LPC, NCC, RPT-S, C-AdPT-A, earned her Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Iowa and her Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from the University of Arizona.  She is a dedicated and versatile mental health professional with extensive experience supporting children and families across a variety of settings. With a career spanning group homes, community mental health centers, private practice, and schools, Dana brings a wealth of knowledge and empathy to her work with children aged 3 and older.  As a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, Dana is passionate about using play to foster healing and development. She has specialized training in innovative play therapy techniques, including adventure therapy, bibliotherapy, expressive arts, and sand tray therapy, allowing her to tailor interventions to meet the unique needs of every child. Her credentials also include being a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a School Guidance Counselor, showcasing her well-rounded expertise in supporting students' academic, emotional, and social growth.  Outside of her professional life, Dana finds joy in exploring new adventures, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, and immersing herself in all things Disney. Her enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to making a difference ensure she creates a positive impact wherever she goes.
