Exploring Application of Early Recollections in Adlerian Play Therapy

Learn to use early recollections in all 4 phases of Adlerian play therapy.

Description

“Think back to a long time ago when you were little, and try to recall one of your earliest memories, one of the first things that you can remember.” Clients’ early recollections can give the play therapist clues about clients’ strengths, their patterns of solving problems and communicating, their strategies for gaining a sense of belonging and significance, and their expectations of themselves and others in social situations. We will introduce you to several different methods of gathering and interpreting early recollections and discuss ways you can use early recollections in each of the 4 phases of Adlerian play therapy. We also practice gathering and interpreting ERs from child clients, teens clients, and adult clients.
