“Inventing” and Customizing Play Therapy Techniques
Unleash your own creativity and learn to give yourself permission to create your own play therapy techniques.
Description
Most play therapists go to conferences and/or read play therapy books to learn new techniques and to find play therapy interventions they can use with their clients. Don’t come to this workshop if that is what you want. Come to this workshop to unleash your own creativity so that you can learn to give yourself permission to create your own play therapy techniques customized to your particular clients. Just bring yourself and your thoughts about kids you might be feeling bored or stuck with; your insecurities about strategies you want to try but are afraid they won’t work; your willingness to play, laugh and have fun. The instructor will provide lots of materials, a bunch of ideas, help with conceptualizing just what is going on with your clients and what they might need next, and an atmosphere filled with permission to create, mess up, experiment, think, fail, and be freer in the play room than you have been...maybe ever.
6 live webinar CE hours (non-contact) (Includes play therapy skills and methods) This workshop meets APT's definition of "Live Webinar."
