Consultation for Advanced Certificate

6 hours of consultation with an Approved Adlerian Play Therapy Consultant are required for the Advanced Certificate in Adlerian Play Therapy.  This sign-up fee covers the cost of one consultation; the fee for the other 5 consultations is paid directly to the Consultant. 

• In 2 of these sessions, you will provide a video recording of a session demonstrating Adlerian family play therapy. 
• In 2 of these sessions, you will provide a video recording of a session demonstrating Adlerian sand tray play therapy.
• In the other 2 consultation sessions, you will work on perfecting your ability to self-monitor your fidelity to the Adlerian play therapy model, using the checklists from the Adlerian Play Therapy Treatment Manual. 

At the end of this series of consultation sessions, the consultant can recommend that you be granted an Advanced Certificate in Adlerian Play Therapy. The final step for attaining the Certificate is for you to submit a short self-reflection describing your experience with the learning from the classes and the consultation, along with a description of your your strengths and struggles as an Adlerian play therapist, a description of how you have grown personally and professionally from this process, and a plan for continued future growth related to Adlerian play therapy.  If, at the end of these 6 sessions, the consultant believes you are not quite ready to be granted an Advanced Certificate in Adlerian Play Therapy, the consultant can also suggest that more consultation sessions are necessary. The purpose of additional consultation sessions would be to ensure that you have fully mastered the Adlerian sand tray play therapy and Adlerian family play therapy skills and strategies and can demonstrate the ability to self-monitor your ability to adhere to the Adlerian play therapy treatment model.
