Understanding The 4 Goals of Misbehavior
Understanding The 4 Goals of Misbehavior
Description
This is a fun and informative webinar that will use lots of visual props and real-life examples to illustrate the dynamics that are occurring between child and parent when the child is so-called “misbehaving”. Participants will have an opportunity to practice identifying the 4 patterns and to suggest methods for changing them using positive discipline approaches best suited to each goal. Participants should leave the webinar feeling confident that they can identify the child’s goal and a host of practical child guidance tools to respond effectively.

Objectives
- A new understanding of what “misbehavior” is

- Ability to distinguish between the 4 unique “dances” we engage in with children
- Tools and techniques to address the behaviours both in the moment and over the long term as the child changes their private logic.
