Using Paint 3D in Play Therapy
In this fun and interactive experiential webinar, you will get familiar with using the Paint 3D computer program in your play therapy sessions--whether you are doing your sessions via telehealth or in person.
Description
As play therapists, we are currently being challenged to develop new skills for delivering our services. Whether conducting play therapy sessions via a telehealth platform or doing in-person play therapy sessions, it is important to be able to use innovative strategies for engaging clients and helping them explore and resolve issues. One such strategy is Paint 3D, a computer program that can be used for applications that would be similar to sand tray and/or art experiences, without needing figures that require d isinfecting or art materials that need acquiring. In this webinar, participants will learn how to use the Paint 3D program in their play therapy sessions. They will practice employing all of the aspects of the program so that they can be ready to go back to their play therapy clients with a new modality for building relationships, exploring client dynamics, helping clients gain insight into patterns that are no longer working for them, and giving clients a chance to learn and practice new skills, like anger management, clear communication, and problem-solving. As a vehicle for practicing using 3D Paint in play therapy sessions with adults and children, participants will facilitate sessions with other members of the class and with “real” children during class.
