Group Consultation in Adlerian Play Therapy

Get together with other Adlerian play therapists to work on how to handle difficult cases and hone your skills

Description

Our Adlerian consultation group provides a welcoming, informal, and nonevaluative setting designed to offer valuable guidance on difficult cases, tough ethical dilemmas, impact of your work on your health and state of mind.  The purpose of these consultation group sessions would be to ensure that you have begun to master Adlerian play therapy and parent/teacher consultation skills and strategies and can demonstrate expertise in using Adlerian play therapy conceptualizing and treatment planning tools.

According to the Association for Play Therapy “consultation” differs from supervision in that in consultation the consultant and the consultee both hold individual clinical mental health licenses issued by their respective state licensing boards that permit for independent practice. In consultation, the consultant shares expert advice specific to play therapy to the existing competent care being provided by the consultee. This type of consultation can meet APT Credentialing requirements for supervision.  According to the APT (Association of Play Therapy) credentialing requirements, an individual is allowed up to 10 hours of group consultation to apply for RPT (Registered Play Therapist) status.

These hours do not count towards Adlerian Play Therapy certification.

Cancelation Policy: Cancellation for any individual session needs to be received before 30 days of the event for a refund.  Any cancellation within 30 days of the event will not be refunded.

Max of 6 participants per group session. This is an open group.
