Consulting with Parents in Adlerian Play Therapy

A playful approach to consultation with parents in Adlerian Play Therapy

Description

All play therapists know it is important to include parents in the play therapy process, right? Then why is it that we, as therapists, come up with so many reasons not to include parents in the play therapy process? In this class, we will identify barriers to effective parent consultation and come up with a plethora of reasons why we, as play therapists, need to incorporate parent consultation as a regular component of our play therapy practice. This fun and interactive two-day play therapy class will provide a new way of understanding the parent consultation process. You will leave with many new ways to conceptualize parents and fun new techniques for engaging parents in the play therapy process.
