Description

This 3-hour special topic training will assist play therapists working with young children and families in high conflict custody situations in the playroom. Understanding expectations and limitations of play therapists when entering court will be explored including ethical issues that can arise, the subpoena process, and witness classification. Participants will develop insight into the play therapist’s role in the court system and learn 3 play therapy interventions to use with children involved in high conflict custody cases.
