Description
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is best described as an ongoing pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that interferes with optional development. In this fun, interactive workshop, you will learn ways to conceptualize and intervene with clients who have been diagnosed with ADHD from an Adlerian play therapy perspective. All four phases of Adlerian play therapy will be highlighted to illustrate the progression of treatment. An in-depth case study will be used to demonstrate a specific tailored approach.

Objectives
Upon completion of this training participants will be prepared to:
- List and describe the four stages of Adlerian play therapy.
- Identify 3 executive functioning areas of concerns with children diagnosed with ADHD that can be addressed through Adlerian play therapy.
- Describe 3 ways to strengthen executive functioning skills in phase 3 and phase 4 in Adlerian play therapy.
- List 5 Adlerian play therapy interventions appropriate for helping children with ADHD.
