In this workshop, we go beyond teaching simple breathing techniques to support children in expressing, regulating, and managing anger. Utilizing the framework of Adlerian play therapy, we identify skills needed for successful conflict resolution and explore ways to teach an understanding of the basic components of anger and anger “drivers.” We explore play therapy techniques to implement in each phase of the Adlerian play therapy process to support children in coping with frustration and anger in a socially acceptable, productive manner. Throughout the workshop, participants will enjoy a variety of playful, hands-on experiences!
