Darren Daugherty, PhD, LPC, RPT, C-AdPT, CFLE
Darren is a college professor and therapist. He counsels children, parents, and families at his private practice on his farm. In addition to the letters after his name, Darren is also a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner.
He has worked with children for 30 years in a variety of roles:
Much of Darren's work and volunteer efforts has focused on helping children and families who have faced trauma and loss. He volunteers throughout the year with the wonderful organization Royal Family Kids, whose efforts provide camping and mentoring experiences for children who have experienced abuse and neglect.
When asked where he is from, Darren has difficulty answering because he’s lived a third of his life in each of the following states: PA, MN, and TX. Darren and his wife, Wendy, have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. They share a love for kids and have been foster parents to 14. They also enjoy sharing creative ideas, as Wendy is an amazing kindergarten teacher.
